Today I got the great honor of my first test drive of the Hyundai Kona EV in Germany. It’s one of the best-known EVs available in Germany. First announced in 2018, the SUV has some things that I was looking for my mothers first EV for.
Firstly, the Hyundai Kona EV for my mother looks really nice and it is an SUV which is helpful for the area she lives in. That was the first ice-breaker. Then I looked at the features:
- Heating Features: You can order this car with seat heating, steering wheel heating, as most EVs you also have a parking heater. Most importantly, the car has a water pump heating (less range drop in winter) and very well done: You can set the heating to “driver only”, so that the vehicle just heats the drivers seating area.
- Safety Features: This car has an ACC (distance regulated cruise control), lane assist and parking-beepers and backwards oriented camera.
- Charging and Range: With it’s official range of 484 kilometers, you can have long trips without recharging – for real, I tested this with moderate speed on German Autobahn. This is even more than my Model S. Also, you can charge using AC and CCS DC charging stations up to 78 kW.
- Price: The car starts at about 34.000€ and is therefore reasonably priced.
Because of these reasons, I thought: Let’s get the Hyundai Kona EV for my mother! I hope she will buy it, so that I can borrow it from her occasionally 🙂
If you’re interested in this car, too, you will find all the information you need here:
Your means of telling everything in this piece of writing is in fact nice, all can simply understand it, Thanks a lot. Mirabel Clevie Lionel
